DETROIT OPERA HOUSE photo picture art print for sale. DETROIT OPERA HOUSE picture photograph art print for sale. The Detroit, Michigan Detroit Opera House picture art print photo poster for sale. This picture photograph of The City of Detroit Opera House is made from AN ORIGINAL BLACK AND WHITE HAND-COLORED PHOTOGRAPH. This fine-art photograph pictures the front of The Detroit Opera House which was recently restored. The City of Detroit Opera House is downtown Detroit jewel that sits at the edge of Grand Circus Park. It is another ray of sunshine in the re-development of Detroit's historical downtown and world class theatre district. In this hand-colored Detroit photograph picture print we see a view from across the fountain of The Detroit Opera House that began it's life as the palatial Capitol Theatre in 1920. This historical Detroit Opera House, a City of Detroit landmark building, was designed by noted architect C. Howard Crane who also designed The Detroit Fox Theatre. This downtown Detroit building went through numerous incarnations until its current incarnation as the world class home of The Michigan Opera Theater Company. The Detroit Opera House features the largest stage in the midwest on which it presents outstanding performances.

The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals.
