ST. CHARLES STREETCARS - NEW ORLEANS photo art picture - New Orleans St. Charles Streetcars Photo Art Gallery photograph art photo printss for sale: This color New Orleans picture photograph of New Orleans St. Charles streetcars is a photo made from an original black and white photograph that has been hand colored by nationally recognized artist and photographer Jan Kaulins. This is a unique New Orleans picture photo showing one of the St. Charles streetcar terminals at Carrolton Station. In this New Orleans streetcar terminal photo can be seen a few of the older New Orleans streetcars, surrounding one of the very oldest cars still operating on the line-- #29. Streetcar #29 is the smaller St. Charles streetcar seen in this photo. The St. Charles New Orleans streetcar line is over 150 years old, and one of the oldest continuously operating such lines in the country. Passengers can still sit in the brass trimmed Mahogany seats and enjoy the open window ride starting in uptown New Orleans and going through the historic Garden District of New Orleans and then down Carrolton Avenue where the cars change direction and head back in downtown towards The City of New Orleans. This New Orleans Art Gallery photo shows the sort of streetcars that were the New Orleans streetcars typified in Tennesse Williams' play "A Streetcar Named Desire."

The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals.
