SENATE THEATRE Detroit photo picture art print
by Jan Kaulins
SENATE THEATRE Detroit picture photo art print. This Senate Theatre on Michigan Ave. picture photo is a color photo made from an original HAND-COLORED black and white photograph by artist/photographer Jan Kaulins. The Senate Theatre, on Detroit's West side, was built in 1926 and shortly thereafter totally remodeled in the 1930's during The Art Deco period. It closed it's doors as a movie theatre in 1958, but in 1963 it was purchased and renovated by The Detroit Theatre Organ Society. After total refurbishing the Society installed what was considered by many to be the finest private theatre organ in the country. This Detroit Senate Theatre photo pictures the beauty of the wonderful Art Deco building architecture.

| The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals. |
