BLIMPY BURGER picture photo print art photograph for sale. ANN ARBOR KRAZY JIM'S BLIMPY BURGER photo picture art print photography for sale. The photo is of the landmark Ann Arbor, Michigan greasy spoon. You can't make it through college unless you eat there. There motto is "Cheaper than food since 1953." This tiny diner burger joint features custom made burgers as you watch as only they can be made at Krazy Jim's. We'll say no more. You need to try them--they're good! But, be sure to pack a good supply of your anti-cholesterol medication before you enter. This photo was taken from the back of Krazy Jim's, which, artistically speaking, is much more interesting and fun visually than the front of the structure.

ANN ARBOR photo fine art photography print for sale. KRAZY JIM'S BLIMPY BURGER Ann Arbor photograph fine art print for sale. This is a colorful ANN ARBOR BLIMPY JIM'S portrait of the backside of the longtime favorite Ann Arbor eatery Krazy Jim's---home of the potentially outrageous Blimpy Burger---you can make it so depending on how you order it. The front of this small building on Division St. isn't too striking, but the artwork on the backside shown in this striking Blimpy Burger Ann Arbor photo portrait art print by photographer and artist Mr. Jan Kaulins gives it that true vintage Ann Arbor feel.

These are original High Dynamic Range (HDR) color photographs created by nationally recognized award winning artist/photographer Jan Kaulins. These HDR photos are the newest artistic images in his most recent series of photography. Each photograph has BEEN CREATED FROM NINE SEPARATE BRACKETED DIGITAL EXPOSURES and then layered together into one photographic image. It is then ‘tone-mapped’ where individual areas of the photo, as well as contrast, saturation and other qualities of the image can be artistically manipulated to bring out the artistic effects that make these photos so visually unique and striking. Some of the photos in this series are even further digitally enhanced for artistic effect giving them an almost painterly or graphic silkscreened look. They do not look like your grandmothers traditional photos. These photos are however not hand-colored, like Jan’s other photographic series shown on this website. This is an entirely new process is being used.

This is a relatively new photographic technique which uses the blending of NINE BRACKETED DIGITAL EXPOSURES to capture and emulate the way that light levels in the real world vary over an enormous tonal range, from the brightest area of sunlight to the darkest area in the shadows. All of these varying degrees of light cannot be exposed properly and captured in a single photograph---hence the necessity of layering and combining of the multiple over and under exposures to allow the viewer to see all of the existing areas of light at one time in one photo. The enhanced saturation and color of the multiple images also is a partial result of this very unique photographic process and can be quite stunning and dramatic. Sometimes these artistic Jan Kaulins photos blur the sense of reality and illusion. The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals.
