Detroit Streetcar Ford Highland Park Plant photo
by Jan Kaulins
DETROIT STREETCAR FORD HIGHLAND PARK AUTO PLANT photo picture art print for sale: This is a rare Detroit Streetcar Trolley Car color picture photo image made from an ORIGINAL BLACK AND WHITE PHOTO THAT HAS BEEN HAND-COLORED. In the foreground we see one of the long time running Detroit Streetcars on the turnaround corner by the Old Historic Ford Motor Company Highland Plant in about 1940's. The neon letter sign at front of the bus reads "WOODWARD - HOUSE", and the streetcar is number #279. At the top left of this historic Detroit Ford Motor Company Highland Park Auto Plant photo we can see five large smoke stacks and the top of two water towers on either side of the giant smoke stacks. Towards the top of the smoke stacks are the large letters F O R D, visible for miles around this giant complex that helped in large part to establish Detroit as The Motor City. Near the top right corner of the Detroit Streetcar we can the sign for one of the oldest Detroit Drugstore chains, Kinsel' Drugs, boldly attached above the entrance of the stone building.
This is a very unique Detroit Streetcar photo to the collectors of Detroit transportation history, not found anywhere else for sale except here in the Historical Collection of The Detroit Photo Gallery on this website at www.JanKaulins.com

| The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals. |
