The Detroit Athletic Club shown pictured in this Detroit photograph officially opened in April 1915. A group of of Detroit's prominent automotive and industrial leaders commissioned famous architect Albert Kahn to design this magnificent six story clubhouse that stands today on Madison Avenue in the center of Detroit's sports and theatre district. Past Presidents of The Detroit Athletic Club include such prominent Detroit names as Briggs, Fisher, Knudsen, and Townsend. This would be a great picture photograph of The Detroit Athletic Club Building to hang in the office or den of a member of this exclusive and historic Detroit Athletic Club.
