MEADOWBROOK CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE photo
by Jan Kaulins
MEADOWBROOK CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE picture photo - Meadowbrook Hall Concourse d'Elegance photo picture - This color Meadowbrook Hall Concourse e'Elegance picture photo of a beautiful and rare 1935 Auburn 851 Supercharged Boattail Speedster was made from an original black and white photograph that was hand-colored by nationally noted artist/photographer Jan Kaulins. The Concours d'Elegance has been held on the grounds of historic Meadowbrook hall for 27 years. It is considered by many vintage vehicle connoisseurs to be the most elegant and prestigeous show of its kind in the world. This photo is a fine example of the quality of vehicle that is shown in this Meadowbrook Hall forum.
The Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance collector car show and its art auction raises money to help with the preservation efforts at Meadow Brook Hall. Over the years, the Concours d’Elegance has raised and contributed more than $5,000,000 to the preservation of the mansion; the former home of Matilda Dodge Wilson, the widow of John Dodge and wife of lumber baron Alfred Wilson, which has been a trademark of American automotive history.

| The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals. |
