Photographic images from the station while it was operating are surprisingly uncommon. This is a very fine example showing both this magnificent structure as well as the train yard itself. These professionally restored photos were made from original 1960's technology small 35mm photographic slide so are a bit 'grainy' which is expected from 50+ year old analog slide film. This OLD VINTAGE MICHIGAN CENTRAL DEPOT TRAIN STATION black and white photo print for sale is a wonderful image showing the distinct DETROIT SKYLINE in the background.

The quality of the Jan Kaulins' photographic prints is much higher than we can show within limits of this web site. Slight tonal changes and blurring around the areas of strong contrast are a result of the JPEG compression process, and are not part of the high quality originals.
